The VFA Volunteerism Project has seen the linkage and visitation by hundreds of foreign volunteers to East Africa, and the organization of 41 Volunteering in Communities (ViC) activities. As a result, 55 CBO’s and projects have benefited from technical advice by VFA Volunteers, while development has been achieved in 20 villages across East Africa. In Tharaka, Kenya the ViC concept has seen the building of 1 community dispensary, 2 bridges and 1 Early Childhood Development (ECD) centre. In Mpanga, Uganda, ViC has enabled the construction of 5 water collection points within Mpanga forest, and 1 sustainable brick making project at Lufuka location. Achievement of this has been through thanks to support from our European partners in UK (Praktikawelten and Voluntary Services Overseas) and through citizens in many world countries who have a passion for helping those in need.
